Jan Larsen is the Associate Vice President of IDC EMEA Finance managing IDC's shared service centre in London. Larsen began his career in IDC Nordic 10 years ago as CFO. After 2 years in IDC Nordic, Larsen was made responsible for designing and implementing a shared service centre for IDC's EMEA based operations. This involved building an organisation from scratch, with the capabilities to work and interact with colleagues across several countries and cultures. One of the main achievements amongst others was to standardise internal reporting across countries and business units.
Larsen gained experience in ensuring the shared service centre's capability to comply with legislation across multiple countries. Larsen has got in depth experience in reporting under international accounting standards as well as under several local GAAP's across IDC's network. Larsen is also responsible for the overall audit of IDC EMEA, organising the audit between several auditors and offices. Larsen is also involved in ensuring IDC's compliance with transfer pricing regulations world wide.
Larsen is currently splitting his time between IDC's offices in London and Copenhagen.
Prior to joining IDC, Larsen worked in a number of medium sized Danish companies as Financial controller, with the focus on building and setting up a controller function. Prior to this Larsen worked within audit in a "big 4" company.
